Eligibility Specialist

Location: Dallas, TX, USA; Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., first shift, with up to 50% travel within Dallas County.

Salary: USD 24.13 per hour

What you will do

• Support customer enrollment in Career Office and federally funded workforce services, including the WIOA Youth program.
• Interview customers to assess training needs, education, experience, skills, interests, barriers, and eligibility.
• Verify eligibility, collect supporting documentation, and maintain complete and accurate customer files.
• Enter services and counselor notes in Work in Texas and WIT accurately and in real time.
• Coordinate outreach with adult education and literacy partners, school districts, community organizations, and employers.
• Provide alternative community and center resources to individuals who are not eligible and explore applicable funding streams and co-enrollment options.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree from a recognized community college or comparable related case management and job-matching experience.
• Knowledge of workforce programs such as SNAP, TANF, WIOA, NCP, RESEA, TAA, and SEAL.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, customer service, public speaking, and computer skills.
• Ability to work independently, stay organized and detail-oriented, and maintain professional relationships.
• Familiarity with the communities served and their local needs and resources.
• Reliable transportation, a current driver’s license, and auto insurance.
