Employment Specialist

Location: Olympia, Washington, USA; onsite with daily in-office work, community outreach, and travel throughout the area

Salary: $23.00–$25.65 per hour

What you will do

• Provide client-driven case management and maintain knowledge of DDA and DVR services.
• Conduct client assessments and interviews to determine eligibility and understand employment goals.
• Identify employment barriers, employer matches, and opportunities for career growth.
• Support clients in obtaining and retaining independent employment at or above minimum wage.
• Develop clients' employment-related soft and hard skills and document progress in service plans.
• Build partnerships with employers and service providers, attend meetings and community events, and provide transportation when needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; a bachelor's degree in a social service field is preferred.
• At least 21 years of age.
• One year of related experience or training working with people in crisis, especially in employment services.
• Valid driver's license, insurance, and access to a vehicle insured for the candidate as a driver.
• Strong communication, time management, self-direction, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, use Microsoft Office, Zoom, PC and Android devices, perform CPR and first aid, and lift up to 50 pounds.
