NDT Radiography Technician (Aerospace & Defense)

What you will do

• Perform radiographic inspections of aerospace and defense components using film, digital, and computed radiography.
• Set up inspections according to approved procedures, technique sheets, exposure requirements, safety practices, customer requirements, ASTM standards, NAS 410, and drawing specifications.
• Read, interpret, and evaluate radiographic films and digital images to determine product acceptability.
• Create, review, and maintain technique sheets, inspection records, image records, and discrepancy reports.
• Support equipment calibration, system checks, process controls, audits, customer reviews, and quality-system requirements.
• Collaborate with production, quality, engineering, and NDT personnel and support additional NDT methods as qualified.

Requirements

• Level 2 certification in Radiographic Testing, with experience in both film and digital or computed radiography preferred.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, or highly regulated manufacturing environments preferred.
• Knowledge of NAS 410, ASTM requirements, customer specifications, NDT procedures, and AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, inspection requirements, and acceptance criteria.
• Strong accuracy, documentation, organization, communication, and technical judgment.
• Ability to work in a production environment and lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• PT Level 2 certification or experience.
• N-Ray or NRT Level 2 certification or experience.
• Willingness to train in additional NDT methods, including N-Ray.
