NDE Level II RT(CR) Lab Inspector (Computed Radiography)

Location: Bloomington, Minnesota, United States. Full-time, onsite laboratory position.

Compensation: $60,000–$90,000 per year.

What you will do

• Perform computed radiography inspections according to established procedures, industry standards, applicable codes, and customer specifications.
• Set up and calibrate CR equipment, verify image quality, and interpret, evaluate, and document results.
• Prepare accurate inspection reports and supporting documentation.
• Communicate with customers about project requirements, scheduling, inspection needs, weld qualification, and CWI projects.
• Help develop inspection techniques, plans, laboratory processes, work instructions, and documentation.
• Support liquid penetrant and magnetic particle testing, general laboratory activities, and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Level II RT certification is required; Level II RT(CR) certification is strongly preferred.
• At least two years of experience in radiographic testing or related nondestructive examination methods.
• Experience with computed radiography systems and imaging software is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in nondestructive examination is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, problem-solving, and independent decision-making skills within the Level II certification scope.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and flexibility to adjust schedules based on project and customer needs.

Nice to have

• Experience with digital radiography, liquid penetrant, and magnetic particle inspection methods.
• DR, PT, or MT certifications.
• Post-secondary education in nondestructive examination.
