TL;DR
Quality Technician (Aerospace): Inspecting incoming, in-process, and finished advanced composite products and preparing accurate quality documentation with an accent on dimensional measurement, engineered drawing interpretation, and AS9102 First Article Inspection reporting. Focus on setting up mechanical and optical measurement equipment, investigating nonconformities through root cause analysis, and supporting source inspections and aerospace quality requirements.

Location: Onsite in Amesbury, Massachusetts, USA; restricted to U.S. citizens

Pay range: $23.37–$27.63 per hour

What you will do

  • Inspect incoming, in-process, and finished products using established sampling plans.
  • Set up and use measuring equipment and fixtures to verify dimensions, angles, profiles, configurations, and visual requirements.
  • Complete inspection records, test reports, First Article Inspection planning, and AS9102 FAI reports.
  • Interpret engineered drawings, formulas, work orders, procedures, instructions, and specifications.
  • Collaborate with management, engineering, and cross-functional teams to clarify standards, communicate quality status, and prioritize work.
  • Investigate nonconformities, support root cause analysis, report discrepancies, and prepare Certificates of Conformance and Certificates of Analysis.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 0–3 years of quality-related work experience.
  • Ability to interpret engineered drawings.
  • Hands-on mechanical setup experience and competence using calipers, micrometers, height gages, radius gages, and optical measurement systems.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, documentation, communication, independence, and responsiveness.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense clearance and must be a U.S. citizen.

Nice to have

  • Experience in an ISO 9001 or AS9100 facility.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
