NDT Level III - Senior Engineer I

Location: Clearwater, Florida, United States; full-time onsite role

A manufacturer of titanium alloy products, including bar, wire, fine wire, strip, and precision shapes, serving aerospace, medical, consumer, motorsports, and recreation industries.

What you will do

• Review customer and industry NDT specifications and write procedures that meet applicable requirements.
• Lead the qualification and certification program for NDT personnel and approve certifications from external testing sources.
• Support factory-floor NDT operations through training, troubleshooting, process stabilization, and collaboration with technicians and product metallurgists.
• Improve and standardize NDT equipment, instrumentation, processes, preventive maintenance, calibration, testing, and documentation.
• Lead internal, customer, AS9100, and Nadcap audits, including corrective actions and audit scheduling.
• Develop data-driven quality controls using statistical process control, root-cause analysis, and process capability methods.

Requirements

• High school diploma with 10 years of NDT experience, or a four-year college degree with 7 years of NDT experience.
• Must be qualified and certifiable to NDT Level III in the UT method under SNT-TC-1A, NAS 410, and applicable customer specifications, with more than 5 years of related experience.
• Strong knowledge of NDT system management, NDT audits, corrective actions, root-cause problem solving, and UT and ET equipment.
• Working knowledge of statistical process control methods and audit processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to train, coach, lead auditors, and work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to work safely in production and office environments and adapt to a fast-paced, changing workplace.
