North EH&S Manager

Location: Allentown, Pennsylvania, United States; responsibility across the Northern United States and Eastern Canada, with travel up to 50% within the North Subregion.

What you will do

• Lead EHS and driver safety professionals supporting more than 75 sites across the Northern United States and Eastern Canada.
• Develop and execute regional EHS strategies aligned with operational and business priorities.
• Drive injury and incident reduction through risk mitigation, safety indicators, training, site assessments, and continuous improvement.
• Provide strategic support on complex EHS, compliance, and operational issues, including management of change and corrective actions.
• Lead responses to OSHA-recordable injuries, lost-time incidents, and significant EHS events, including case management and return-to-work programs.
• Manage audits, regulatory responses, performance trends, succession planning, and talent development.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in engineering, occupational health and safety, or another technical discipline; an advanced degree is preferred.
• At least 7 years of field safety and EHS management experience in petrochemical, refinery, industrial gas, or a related facility.
• At least 3 years of experience managing and developing direct reports.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, PSM/RMP, DOT, ISO, and applicable federal, state, provincial, and local regulations.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, analytical problem-solving, audit management, and influencing skills.
• A passport is required for international travel between the United States and Canada.

Nice to have

• EHS qualification such as CSP, ASP, SMS, or CHMM, or equivalent professional engineering experience.
• Advanced degree and familiarity with Canadian regulations.
• Operations, construction, logistics, or plant management experience.
