Senior EHS Consultant (Safety)

Location: US - TN - New Johnsonville; onsite work at a manufacturing facility

Salary: $110,544–$172,725 annually, plus an 8% annual bonus target

What you will do

• Lead safety compliance, technical problem-solving, training, improvement, and implementation support for high-hazard chemical operations.
• Provide safety guidance to employees, contractors, operations, maintenance, technology, training organizations, corporate resources, and regulatory agencies.
• Develop, audit, and improve safety systems, procedures, capabilities, and ownership across the site.
• Prepare and facilitate first-, second-, and third-party safety audits and participate in incident investigations.
• Act as the site subject matter expert and trainer for safe work practices and related Safety How procedures.
• Support Process Safety Management, Risk Management Plan, Responsible Care Management System, Occupational Health, Distribution, Emergency Response, OSHA VPP, special safety programs, and performance metrics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in EHS, safety sciences, industrial hygiene, safety engineering, or an engineering-oriented discipline.
• At least 10 years of experience as a safety professional in a manufacturing or chemical facility.
• Knowledge of high-hazard chemical or process safety management facilities and industrial manufacturing operations.
• Strong knowledge of safety and process safety regulations, laws, and standards, especially OSHA requirements.
• Ability to independently plan, develop, implement, audit, and improve sustainable EHS systems and processes.
• Strong technical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, collaboration, and computer skills, with the ability to perform physical duties in a manufacturing environment.

Nice to have

• Five or more years of high-hazard chemical process experience.
• Experience in Environmental, Health, Safety, Training, Distribution, or Emergency Response.
• Certified Safety Professional certification or the ability to obtain it.
