Senior EH&S Specialist (LB) (Aerospace)

Location: Long Beach, California, United States; onsite role supporting operations at the site.

Salary: $102,000–$154,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action management.
• Develop and review risk assessments, including Job Hazard Analyses.
• Provide EHS subject matter expertise and support to engineers, specialists, and technicians across the site.
• Drive initiatives that strengthen the safety culture across departments.
• Prepare and provide OSHA compliance support for EHS activities and documentation.
• Monitor hazardous chemicals, handling, storage, spill prevention, and risk mitigation controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Safety, Environmental Sciences, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in the EHS field.
• Experience managing safety programs in a dynamic manufacturing environment, including crane, high-pressure, high-voltage, industrial hygiene, and laser safety.
• Technical experience with complex incident investigations, root cause analysis, risk mitigation, Job Hazard Assessments, and EHS policies and procedures.
• Strategic and collaborative approach with the ability to support multiple departments and organizational levels.
• Advanced knowledge of CalOSHA, SCAQMD, DTSC, RCRA, and hazardous waste regulations.

• OSHA 30-Hour certification.
• HAZWOPER 40-Hour certification.
• Associate Safety Professional or Certified Safety Professional certification.
• RCRA or DOT Hazardous Waste certification.
• EMT certification and experience.
