Continuous Improvement Kaizen Specialist (Manufacturing): Supporting lean transformation in a manufacturing facility through Kaizen facilitation, rapid experiments, employee training, and continuous improvement processes with an accent on 5S, Standard Work, Flow, Visual Management, TPM, and Error Proofing. Focus on gathering operational data, building creative equipment and tooling solutions, prioritizing improvement projects, and reporting results to senior leadership.

Location: Onsite in Franklin, NH, United States

What you will do

  • Gather data and complete preparation activities for Kaizen events.
  • Facilitate Kaizens and support rapid experiments based on lean processes.
  • Collaborate with Continuous Improvement Technicians to build machines, equipment, and tools that improve manufacturing performance.
  • Train employees in continuous improvement processes, Kaizen preparation, and Kaizen execution.
  • Support New Product Development and sustain 5S, Standard Work, Flow, Visual Management, TPM, and Error Proofing.
  • Manage the Kaizen roadmap and productivity funnel, prepare leadership report-outs, and coordinate project priorities and expectations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Willingness to obtain a Watts-certified Lean Yellow Belt within 3 months of accepting the role.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams, manage action plans, communicate professionally, and perform essential duties with minimal supervision.
  • Ability and willingness to work onsite at the Franklin, NH manufacturing facility.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, move around the manufacturing floor, and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds while using required personal protective equipment.

Nice to have

  • Associate degree or certification in engineering technology, operations, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting Kaizen events or lean improvement projects.
  • Exposure to KPI reporting or visual management systems.
