Machine Setup, Repair, and Tooling (Manufacturing)

Location: Columbia, PA plant; onsite

Compensation: $23.50 per hour. Starting pay is $22.81 per hour, plus a $2.00 shift differential for second shift.

What you will do

• Set up machinery to produce parts that meet product specifications and output requirements.
• Monitor machine output and adjust equipment as needed.
• Change tools and monitor tool damage and wear to maintain production quality.
• Train production operators, process auditors, and other setup personnel.
• Follow applicable work instructions, procedures, and safety requirements.

Requirements

• Accurately use calipers, dial indicators, fitting alignment equipment, L-1 thread gages, and 6-step gages.
• Read and understand product and equipment drawings.
• Apply basic mathematics to compare measured dimensions with product and process specifications.
• Understand technical terminology related to machinery and machining processes.
• Read, understand, and follow written specifications, work instructions, and procedures.
• Obtain a tow motor license and successfully complete lockout/tagout and confined-space training.
