Technical Expert/Functional Expert (Network)

Salary: $162,000–$192,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Deliver enhanced HPC capabilities across multi-vendor HPC servers, clusters, and specialized processing environments.
• Design and architect datacenter networks, including Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and IPSEC VPNs.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot routers, switches, load balancers, and security devices.
• Monitor and protect LAN infrastructure using routing, switching, L2/L3 protocols, stateful firewalls, and access controls.
• Support virtualization environments using VMware and Solaris containers.
• Provide on-call support and track tasking through Remedy or other ticketing systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, or at least 15 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• At least 10 years of demonstrable experience in network engineering, LAN architecture, monitoring, security, and protection.
• Datacenter network design and architecture experience with Cisco infrastructure and IPSEC VPNs.
• Experience with Cisco IOS, CatOS, NxOS, ASA, FWSM, Ciscoworks, TACACS+, HP OpenView, F5/Cisco load balancers, Juniper, Infiniband, Fiber Channel SAN, and VPN technologies.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing and switching protocols, L2/L3 protocols, stateful firewalls, and L3 access controls.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and DoD 8570 IAT II certification required.
