Sr Network Engineer (Palo Alto, Cisco, DNS)

Location: Fort Myers, Florida, United States; hybrid work environment

Salary: 86,000–118,000 USD base salary per year, plus eligible bonus or incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Research, design, plan, and implement network technologies across large-scale global LAN/WAN enterprise environments.
• Evaluate and enhance network services, define ROI, and follow change-control methodologies.
• Configure, troubleshoot, monitor, maintain, upgrade, and support complex IP, security, wireless, VPN, unified communications, and content networking solutions.
• Define network design, testing, implementation, documentation, and operational standards.
• Provide technical training to regional site staff and Operations Center personnel.
• Serve as a key escalation point for the Operations Center and on-call network engineers while supporting continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent knowledge, with 6–10 years of related professional experience.
• At least 5 years of direct engineering and design experience in global enterprise networks.
• Advanced hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, wireless access points, Palo Alto firewalls, Infoblox DNS/DHCP, and F5 load balancers.
• Experience with Cisco SDWAN and Palo Alto firewalls is required; knowledge of routing, security, authentication, TCP/IP, IPv4, IPv6, and enterprise network protocols is essential.
• Experience with Python, Terraform, and/or Ansible for network automation is required.
• Strong analytical, communication, presentation, independent decision-making, project management, and time-management skills; ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Nice to have

• Cisco CCNP, CCDP, or CCIE certification.
• Palo Alto PCNSE or equivalent certification.
• Experience with F5 iRules, LTM, GTM, Viprion, Perl, Tcl, and iControl.
• Experience with Cisco Catalyst Center, SDN/SDWAN implementation, MCSE, Solaris, or Linux.
