Lead Enterprise Systems Engineer

Location: Columbus, OH, with work sites in Fishers, Independence, Bellevue, and Williamsport; on-site equipment and periodic night and weekend work are required.

What you will do

• Analyze, plan, design, implement, maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance complex enterprise infrastructure.
• Own technical standards for Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, load balancing, clustering, SAN storage, hypervisors, physical and virtual servers, cloud platforms, telecommunications, and contact center systems.
• Lead day-to-day Tier 3 operational support for core server and application infrastructures.
• Design, build, patch, test, deploy, monitor, and upgrade systems and platforms.
• Implement infrastructure changes, storage and server solutions, data migrations, and disaster recovery operations.
• Lead and mentor team members, coordinate projects and vendors, provide technical training, and support budgeting and long-range planning.

Requirements

• More than 15 years of experience in infrastructure engineering or a related role.
• Technical or bachelor’s degree in infrastructure engineering or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server and desktop operating systems, physical and virtual servers, LAN/WAN/VPN protocols, and core enterprise infrastructure technologies.
• Experience with Active Directory, LDAP, DNS, DHCP, Kerberos, Group Policy, DFS, file shares, IIS, Hyper-V, Azure, Office 365, AWS, SAN storage, load balancing, clustering, and messaging platforms.
• Ability to demonstrate technical ownership and leadership, train others, troubleshoot complex issues, facilitate meetings, and work with business application owners, vendors, consultants, contractors, and IT personnel.
• Ability to work with on-site equipment and periodically work nights and weekends.

Nice to have

• Linux experience.
• Working knowledge of Avaya telecommunications and contact center platforms, including Workforce Optimization, Elite Multichannel, IVR, and voice banking.
