Principal Network Engineer (Network Security)

What you will do

• Lead the strategic vision and execution of the product line’s network infrastructure.
• Design, implement, expand, and maintain advanced secure network architectures.
• Drive adoption of new networking technologies and engineering best practices.
• Develop and enforce network security policies and procedures.
• Configure and maintain Azure, AWS, Windows Server, Linux, and Nutanix environments.
• Lead network implementation projects, provide corporate IT support, maintain SLAs, and participate in after-hours on-call duties.

Requirements

• Current, active Secret U.S. Security Clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 12+ years of related experience; relevant experience may substitute for education, requiring at least 14 years without a degree.
• Advanced knowledge of operating systems, networking concepts, protocols, and services, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
• Extensive experience with Cisco networking equipment, advanced networking technologies, corporate networks, SLAs, and corporate IT support.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively on projects involving small and large teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds regularly, work at a computer for extended periods, travel occasionally, and participate in on-call duties.

Nice to have

• Experience implementing DevSecOps processes in existing DevOps pipelines.
• IAT Level III, CISSP, CASP, GCIH, CCNP, or CCIE certification.
• Expertise in MPLS WAN, SD-WAN, wireless networking, fiber optics, UTP, IOS, and network automation platforms.
• Experience with network security, compliance, zero-trust networking, and complex network project leadership.
• Previous experience as a principal network engineer or network architect.
