Sr. Technician Metrology

Location: Clearwater, Florida, United States; onsite work supporting metrology laboratory and customer activities.

Metrology services support aerospace and instrumentation customers through equipment calibration, repair, inspection, engineering, and maintenance programs.

What you will do

• Calibrate and repair electrical, physical/mechanical, dimensional, electronic, and instrumentation equipment.
• Provide day-to-day support for the metrology program, guide workflow with other technicians, and perform onsite oven calibrations.
• Calibrate laboratory standards and maintain documentation in accordance with quality systems.
• Conduct complex configuration tests, interpret schematics and procedures, and perform advanced troubleshooting.
• Inspect fixtures and tooling using CMM equipment and complete complex maintenance, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance.
• Prepare detailed condition and repair reports, support customer technical requirements, and follow HSE practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma and 6+ years of relevant experience, or an associate degree in engineering technology or a related field and 4 years of experience.
• Formal PMEL, TMDE, or calibration school training with proof of attendance.
• U.S. citizenship is required due to a client requirement.
• Experience inspecting fixtures and tooling with CMM equipment.
• Ability to use schematics, testing procedures, computer tools, and metrology laboratory equipment.

Nice to have

• Experience with IndySoft, Fluke Met/Team, Fluke Met/Track, or Met/Cal.
• Customer service experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft tools, including Excel.
• Additional PMEL, TMDE, or calibration school training.
