CNC Swiss Machinist (Aerospace & Defense)

Location: Moorpark, California, United States; onsite, 2nd shift

Salary: $60,000–$90,000 per year

What you will do

• Set up and operate Swiss-style CNC machining centers using work orders, routers, and blueprints.
• Complete tool, fixture, and material setups and run first-piece articles for inspection.
• Measure and verify precision-machined parts using inspection equipment.
• Adjust tools, offsets, feeds, speeds, and cutting parameters for materials including aluminum, steel, stainless steel, and titanium.
• Revise programs when required by engineering or production changes.
• Troubleshoot CNC programming and production issues on the shop floor.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of CNC operation experience, including setup.
• At least 1 year of experience operating a Swiss-style machining center.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• General knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading, and inspection tools.
• High school education or equivalent, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must meet all ITAR and BATFE background requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with Citizen A20, L20, or M32 machines.
• Dual-spindle lathe and 5-axis milling experience.
• ESPRIT programming software experience.
• Previous lead experience.
