Senior MEP Coordinator

Location: Vienna, VA, United States; full-time, onsite role

Salary: $136,000–$180,000 per year

What you will do

• Coordinate the planning, installation, startup, and commissioning of MEP equipment for mission-critical, healthcare, and tenant improvement projects.
• Manage MEP models, support 3D model coordination, and assist with preconstruction MEP information management.
• Review MEP submittals and develop solutions for MEP-related requests for information with design engineers and subcontractors.
• Track MEP construction progress, method-of-procedure activities, and project cutovers.
• Coordinate startup and commissioning documentation with subcontractors, vendors, and commissioning agents.
• Support client training, vendor startup, punch list closeout, and mentoring of MEP staff.

Requirements

• Advanced knowledge of MEP system installation, BIM modeling, and construction management.
• Experience with PLCs, control systems, process instrumentation, or building management systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction science, or equivalent education and experience.
• At least 6 years of experience with large commercial construction projects preferred.
• Ability to read plans and specifications, prioritize independently, and coordinate technical solutions with engineers and subcontractors.
• Experience working with a construction project manager or superintendent preferred.
