Salary: $50,000–$62,000 per year, plus a performance bonus paid quarterly at the commencement of employment.

What you will do

  • Manage end-to-end state licensing, renewals, permits, and registrations for multi-state mental health providers, including counselors, social workers, MFTs, NPs, and psychiatrists.
  • Serve as the primary liaison to state licensing boards, handling audits, regulatory changes, scope updates, and board inquiries.
  • Evaluate clinicians’ education, exams, supervision history, and professional experience against state-specific licensure requirements.
  • Coordinate background checks, fingerprinting, renewals, CEU requirements, and related compliance activities.
  • Maintain state-by-state licensing processes, records, and documentation to support consistency and audit readiness.
  • Educate internal and cross-functional stakeholders on licensing regulations and compliance considerations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent career experience in healthcare.
  • Experience licensing clinicians or medical doctors across multiple states.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient knowledge of TJC Behavioral Health and HIPAA standards.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency and strong project management, communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately, meet goals, document activity, and maintain records in a fast-paced environment.
