TL;DR
Director, College Partnerships (West) (Higher Education Partnerships): Building and managing university partnerships, MOUs, and regional college-access strategies across California, Colorado, and surrounding states with an accent on stakeholder collaboration, portfolio management, and data-informed decision making. Focus on negotiating institutional agreements, integrating partnerships into student advising, and tracking outcomes across a multi-state portfolio.

Location: Remote within the United States, with a strong but non-required preference for California or Colorado. Extensive travel of approximately 30–50% is required.

Salary: $124,800–$150,000 per year.

What you will do

  • Identify, cultivate, and formalize partnerships with national universities, regional institutions, HBCUs, and HSIs across the Western portfolio.
  • Develop, negotiate, finalize, maintain, and revise memoranda of understanding with college and university partners.
  • Collaborate with national College Advancement and regional KIPP Forward teams to integrate partnerships into student advising and college-matching strategies.
  • Exchange practices with other Directors of College Partnerships and strengthen institutional knowledge of partnership strategies, outcomes, and challenges.
  • Contribute to partnership criteria, MOU structures, goals, benchmarks, and accountability systems.

Requirements

  • 7 or more years of experience building and managing a partnership portfolio, preferably with colleges, universities, or charter schools across multiple states.
  • At least 2 years of experience building and maintaining MOUs or institutional agreements.
  • Experience working with first-generation college students or students navigating economic barriers.
  • Demonstrated ability to use data to identify trends, inform decisions, and drive outcomes.
  • Strong record of achieving ambitious goals and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
