Electrical & Controls Principal Engineer (OT)

Location: Alpharetta, Georgia, USA; onsite

Salary: $109,400–$210,000 in Zone A, $100,300–$192,500 in Zone B, or $91,200–$175,000 in Zone C per year, plus eligibility for incentive plans.

What you will do

• Lead electrical and controls engineering for capital projects from concept, feasibility, and design through procurement, construction, commissioning, startup, validation, and closeout.
• Develop functional requirements, technical specifications, schedules, cost estimates, engineering deliverables, and project controls.
• Provide technical leadership in electrical design, control systems, automation platforms, industrial power distribution, and system integration.
• Support startup and operational checkout through configuration, wiring verification, calibration, power testing, troubleshooting, and technical support.
• Evaluate and implement technologies that improve manufacturing capability, efficiency, reliability, and OT strategy.
• Coordinate Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, external engineering firms, contractors, system integrators, and equipment suppliers while championing project safety.

Requirements

• 8–12 years of engineering and/or operations experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Advanced knowledge of Rockwell Automation control systems, hardware, and related technologies.
• Strong expertise in electrical, instrumentation, control systems, industrial power distribution, and automation platforms.
• Experience with NEC, ANSI, IEC, NEMA, NFPA, ISA-S88, and PackML standards.
• Experience with SCADA, MES, Historian, SQL, industrial data collection platforms, P&IDs, electrical schematics, and technical drawings.
• Ability to manage multiple complex capital projects, budgets, resources, schedules, external partners, and stakeholder communications in a manufacturing environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in Consumer Packaged Goods, Food & Beverage, or discrete manufacturing.
• Experience supporting packaging equipment and manufacturing systems.
