Legal Counsel, Spanish-Speaking

Location: Leeds, UK

Base salary: £48,000–£72,000 per year

What you will do

• Advise the Partner and UK Go-To-Market teams on strategic and high-value deals.
• Review and negotiate customer, partnership, and supplier contracts with a pragmatic commercial approach.
• Support strategic projects, new product launches, and the rollout of contract templates.
• Supervise junior lawyers and instruct and manage external legal counsel.
• Build and maintain legal self-help tools, playbooks, and business guides.
• Improve high-volume legal processes, including contracting automation and management workflows.

Requirements

• 5–6 years of post-qualification experience with private practice training and/or in-house experience.
• Experience negotiating complex contracts with sophisticated counterparties.
• Experience reviewing marketing materials for compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Ability to work independently, learn new legal concepts quickly, and apply sound commercial judgment.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain complex legal matters in clear English.
• Proactive approach, strong project management skills, and interest in technology and operational efficiency.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of FCA requirements or payment services.
• Experience managing intellectual property matters.
• Experience selling and supporting SaaS solutions.
• Ability to explain APIs.
