Senior Superintendent (Construction)

Location: San Francisco, CA, United States; full-time onsite role. Travel and supervision of multiple projects across a large geographic area may be required.

Annual salary: $180,000–$235,000.

What you will do

• Supervise construction projects and coordinate field construction teams, subcontractors, and direct-hire work.
• Prepare and maintain CPM schedules, coordinate materials and tools, and manage supply allotments.
• Enforce safety procedures, participate in safety training, and verify subcontractor insurance certificates.
• Set quality-control standards, review drawings and specifications, and manage subcontractor submittals.
• Prepare project reports, approve invoices, and complete punch lists and final close-out documentation.
• Coordinate start-up testing, owner turnover, conferences, and subcontractor meetings.

Requirements

• Degree in engineering, construction management, or architecture, or equivalent experience including four years as an Assistant Superintendent.
• Extensive field construction experience at a supervisory level.
• Current Safety Trained Supervisor certification, or the ability to obtain it within six months of hire and maintain active certification.
• Knowledge of construction crafts, specifications, OSHA laws, scheduling, planning, expediting, and cost control.
• Prior experience as a foreman or journeyman in at least one trade, or as a project engineer.
• Strong problem-solving ability and sense of urgency.
