Market Development Lead, Westhampton (CPG)

Location: Westhampton, New York, United States; local and overnight travel is required, with relocation if required.

Target base salary: $67,000–$92,200 per year.

What you will do

• Build collaborative relationships with Independent Distributor Partners to improve customer service and identify sales growth opportunities.
• Lead route consultations and business meetings, resolve retailer disputes, and coordinate with internal teams to strengthen route health.
• Deliver weekly, period, and quarterly sales plans while growing market share and identifying market opportunities.
• Coordinate distribution, merchandising, promotions, retailer events, inventory, logistics, call coverage, and incremental product placements.
• Use retailer performance data, competition insights, and shopper trends to guide decisions and communicate opportunities.
• Support new item launches, planogram compliance, store resets, inventories, service issue resolution, and key account visits.

Requirements

• 3+ years of related sales or CPG experience, or 2+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree.
• Strong written and verbal communication, influencing, leadership, problem-solving, technical, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work flexible hours based on business and retailer needs and to travel locally and overnight.
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, and drive regularly to stores, warehouses, and hubs.
