Principal Electrical Architect - Server and Rack

Location: Secaucus, New Jersey, United States; onsite

Salary: $148,125–$246,875 per year, plus potential annual bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Architect server- and rack-level solutions and develop long-term hyperscale server technology strategies.
• Work directly with customers and core technology suppliers to solve technical problems and translate requirements into next-generation designs.
• Drive integration of system-level engineering strategies across internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead feasibility studies, prototyping, proof-of-concept development, and technical discussions across engineering, business, and management teams.
• Determine solutions for performance and operational challenges while delivering business value through ZT hardware.
• Develop technical relationships, intellectual property, architecture specifications, and business cases for new products and features.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer Science, or Mechanical Engineering with 12+ years of direct industry experience, or a master’s degree with 10+ years.
• Experience with server product architecture, motherboard design, chassis layout optimization, rack-level and data-center design, and system-level development through production.
• Experience with AC/DC power converter design, system and rack power budgeting, power debugging, and data-center power infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of high-speed design, signal integrity, power distribution, x86/ARM/GPU platforms, serial buses, fabrics, DDR4/DDR5, HBM, and CXL.
• Experience with BMC functionality, telemetry, AMI or OpenBMC firmware, UEFI/BIOS, DMTF Redfish, operating systems, drivers, security protocols, and Root of Trust.
• Strong communication, leadership, negotiation, networking, data-center topology, product lifecycle, and cross-functional development skills.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of Windows Server and Linux distributions including CentOS, Ubuntu, Fedora, and SUSE.
• Experience with VMware, Citrix, or Hyper-V server virtualization solutions.
• Knowledge of software driver implementation, IP schemas, and network protocols.
