Staff PCB Designer (PCB Design)

Location: Eatontown, New Jersey, United States; onsite role

Salary: $97,565–$171,580 per year, with a possible annual or quarterly bonus and potential shift premium.

What you will do

• Design moderate-to-complex PCB layouts for digital, analog, power, and RF interconnect applications.
• Develop PCB concepts, place and route components, and apply electrical and physical design requirements.
• Design prototype and production boards with electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, process, and signal-integrity engineers.
• Create fabrication and assembly drawings, bills of materials, component libraries, and manufacturing output files including ODB++.
• Maintain PCB and CCA documentation, process change notices, redesigns, and legacy design updates.
• Provide layout feedback and engineering alternatives focused on functionality and manufacturability.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of hands-on PCB design experience.
• Proficiency with Siemens PADS VX2.8 or later, Siemens Xpedition VX2.14 or later, and/or Cadence Allegro/OrCAD 17.4 or later.
• Experience with multilayer CCA and flex PCB technologies, HDI and micro-via layouts, stack-up construction, and impedance modeling.
• Advanced knowledge of high-speed constraints, differential pairs, controlled impedance, length matching, delay tuning, and RF routing structures.
• Knowledge of IPC standards, including IPC-2221/3 and IPC Class III design and manufacturing practices.
• Must have a background that could permit issuance of a U.S. Department of Defense Secret clearance when required; ITAR-controlled technical data may be restricted to U.S. citizens and U.S. permanent residents.

Nice to have

• PCB design experience in aerospace and defense.
• CID or CID++ certification.
• Experience with AutoCAD 2023 and audio analog/digital separation practices.
• Associate degree in electrical design/drafting, bachelor's degree in electronic technology or engineering, or equivalent eCAD training and career experience.
