Manager Nurse - Assisted Living

Location: Northbrook, Illinois, USA; onsite at North Shore Place

Salary: USD 90,000 yearly

What you will do

• Provide direct, individualized nursing care and assess residents’ physical, emotional, social, educational, and functional needs.
• Administer medications according to physician orders and nursing policies, document administration, and monitor adverse reactions.
• Interpret assessment data, support care-plan development, process medical orders, and maintain accurate resident records and documentation.
• Supervise CNAs, HHAs, and other nursing personnel, assign resident care, provide instructions, and assist with new-staff orientation.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies, coordinate notifications, and maintain a safe, therapeutic environment.
• Supervise meals, resident activities, call-light response, and the availability of resources for the assigned unit.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or equivalent education and experience.
• At least 1 year of nursing experience in a healthcare facility.
• Current, active LPN/LVN or RN license in the state where the community facility is located.
• Fluent English required for speaking, reading, writing, and communication with residents, colleagues, supervisors, and third parties.
• Proficiency in clinical techniques, including emergency procedures, skin management, hydration therapy, and other nursing procedures.
• Strong supervisory skills and the ability to work with elderly, ill, disabled, emotionally upset, or hostile residents.
