Assistant Director of Nursing

Location: Brandywine Living at Upper Providence, 1133 Black Rock Rd, Phoenixville, PA 19460, USA

Salary: $85,000 per year; final compensation depends on experience and qualifications.

What you will do

• Support the Health and Wellness Director in planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating nursing department programs.
• Help supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by Certified Nursing Assistants.
• Develop and maintain nursing policies, procedures, objectives, and service philosophies.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident services to ensure continuity of care.
• Implement an ongoing departmental quality assurance program using clinical indicators and identified issues.
• Prepare operational recommendations and contribute to short- and long-term department planning.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and a current LPN license.
• At least two years of experience in long-term care, assisted living, home health, or a hospital setting is preferred.
• Experience working with residents with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementias.
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations, nursing practices, techniques, and health and wellness care.
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, Windows, Outlook, and Excel, with the ability to learn new applications.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and lift or carry up to 50 pounds while supporting residents and using proper body mechanics.
