Process Engineer I (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Design manufacturing facilities, equipment, facility infrastructure, and critical utility systems.
• Develop construction drawing packages and construction specifications for basic projects.
• Support construction through RFI responses, submittal reviews, punch lists, and progress reports.
• Prepare process deliverables including basis of design reports, material balances, process descriptions, equipment specifications, and room cards.
• Perform process simulations, heat transfer calculations, and hygienic piping design.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, construction partners, and internal and external project teams.

Requirements

• ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in an operating company or design firm.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic familiarity with industry and regulatory guidance and local building codes.
• Work location: Houston, Texas, USA.

Nice to have

• Fundamentals of Engineering exam registration or completion.
• Experience with AutoCAD or Revit.
• Experience with fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and material and energy balance calculations.
• Experience conducting field surveys and resolving field issues.
• Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, vendors, manufacturers, and construction trade partners.
