MV/HV Safety Manager (Solar)

Location: Remote within the United States; willing to travel 75%

Salary: $107,467–$134,334 per year

What you will do

• Coordinate, implement, and monitor corporate safety programs across project locations.
• Develop project-specific safety plans, emergency response plans, procedures, and corrective action plans.
• Provide electrical safety training covering medium- and high-voltage environments, grounding, isolation, clearances, and operational procedures.
• Inspect job sites for compliance with company safety programs and OSHA requirements.
• Investigate injuries, property damage, near misses, and reportable incidents; compile regular accident reports.
• Coordinate safety programs with subcontractors and support project personnel with training and compliance matters.

Requirements

• BS in occupational safety and health or seven years of solar safety experience.
• At least five years of experience in safety or a related field.
• Thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations and NFPA 70E.
• Knowledge of utility-scale solar facilities, field circuitry, electrical substations, and medium- and high-voltage work environments.
• Safety certification such as CSP, ASP, CHST, OHST, or CUSP, or willingness to obtain one.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future.
