Director Safety (Gas Power Generation)

Location: Remote/traveling for corporate use only; regular travel required

Salary: $161,955–$234,835 annual individual compensation, based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and implement environmental health and safety strategies and programs aligned with business goals.
• Lead safety program execution and improve EHS performance metrics.
• Develop safety policies, procedures, training, and programs based on risk, regulations, client needs, and company standards.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory agencies, including inspections and agency liaison activities.
• Collaborate on project-specific safety plans and develop subcontractor safety management systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Construction Management, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of progressive HSE experience, including 7 years in leadership roles within utility-scale natural gas power generation, heavy industrial, or EPC field execution.
• Expert knowledge of OSHA 1910/1926, NFPA 70E, ANSI, EPA, and DOT standards.
• Experience leading subcontractor and multi-employer HSE programs.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Power BI, and safety management systems, with strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and ability to travel regularly.

• Experience building and developing safety programs in the gas power generation sector or a similar industry.
