Assistant MEP Coordinator

Location: New York, NY; onsite, full-time

What you will do

• Plan and coordinate the installation, startup, and commissioning of MEP equipment.
• Coordinate 3D MEP models and identify priority MEP information during preconstruction.
• Process MEP submittals, provide technical expertise on MEP-related RFIs, and track construction progress.
• Own MEP-related MOPs, cutover activities, and commissioning documentation.
• Schedule vendor startups, commissioning, client training, and punch-list closeout.
• Promote safety practices, OSHA standards, and professional development for junior project staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
• 2–5 years of experience managing commercial interior, healthcare, and/or mission-critical projects.
• Experience with MEP system installation, BIM modeling, and construction management.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications and resolve complex issues independently.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong computer skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Nice to have

• Background in MEP trades and technical knowledge of construction methods.
• Ability to navigate 3D modeling software.
