Inplant Ink Technician (Printing & Packaging)

What you will do

• Maintain the on-site INX ink room and serve as the liaison between INX and the customer.
• Coordinate jobs with the customer, review schedules, evaluate schedule changes, and respond to service call-ins.
• Perform technical service, color matching, ink production, dispensing, and press-side technical support.
• Manage inventory, monthly consignment counts, work-off control, job estimates, and monthly reports.
• Perform quality control testing on incoming and site-manufactured batches and manufacture batches under 100 pounds.
• Follow safety requirements and maintain accurate data entry.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Two to five years of related work experience.
• Ability to match colors effectively and pass a color vision test.
• Strong customer service, communication, writing, reading comprehension, math, organization, and computer skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite programs.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of spectrophotometers, X-Rite IQC, SAP, offset sheetfed products, flexible packaging, flexographic printing, or solvent inks.
• Previous laboratory, inplant, warehouse, or inplant pressroom experience.
• College degree.
