Staff Physician (IM/FM) - Relocation Assistance Available

Location: Onsite in Lost Hills and Delano, California, USA; relocation assistance available.

Salary: $240,000–$270,000 annually, with final compensation depending on skills and experience.

What you will do

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based outpatient primary care, including prevention, chronic disease management, and acute-condition treatment.
• Diagnose and manage obesity, diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, and related cardiometabolic conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and support patients with long-term disease management and sustainable health improvements.
• Manage an empaneled patient population and coordinate care with physicians, advanced practice providers, behavioral health providers, physical therapists, health coaches, and medical assistants.
• Participate in quality improvement and population health initiatives, using clinical data to improve outcomes, engagement, access, and continuity of care.
• Provide care in a 100% outpatient practice with approximately 16 patients per day and no evening or weekend call responsibilities.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Current or eligibility for unrestricted California medical licensure.
• Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain registration.
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain it before the start date.
• Strong knowledge of adult primary care, preventive medicine, chronic disease management, obesity, diabetes, and cardiometabolic disease.
• Ability to work effectively in an integrated, multidisciplinary care model; proficiency with electronic medical records and standard workplace technology.

Nice to have

• Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• Outpatient primary care experience.
• Experience managing obesity, diabetes, and other cardiometabolic conditions.
• Written and verbal fluency in medical Spanish.
