Investment Planning Experts (Infrastructure Sector)

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid working with at least 2 days per week in the office or on client site, and potentially up to 5 days per week on a client site. What you will do

• Develop capital and operational investment plans, including capex, opex, and total expenditure plans.
• Translate investment plans into portfolios and programmes of work for delivery.
• Implement and support adoption of asset investment planning, management, and enterprise systems.
• Deliver digital asset management transformation and change programmes for infrastructure clients.
• Support strategic planning, business planning, price reviews, and long-term infrastructure sustainability.
• Lead small multidisciplinary teams of 2–5 people on complex consulting assignments.

Requirements

• Practical, hands-on experience with infrastructure assets and investment planning.
• Ability to capture investment demand, quantify cost, risk, and benefit, and balance organisational constraints.
• Engineering and financial literacy, with the ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders at all organisational levels.
• First-hand experience implementing and using asset investment planning and management systems, including cost-benefit appraisal and portfolio or programme optimisation tools.
• Strong report writing, presentation, analytical, statistical, modelling, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work from the London office or client sites at least 2 days per week; UK security-clearance eligibility may require British citizenship or 5 years of continuous UK residency.

Nice to have

• Experience with portfolio and project management systems such as Oracle P6, Microsoft Project, PlanView, or ProjectWise.
• Experience with enterprise asset management systems such as IBM Maximo, SAP S4, or Ellipse.
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks, price reviews, business planning, and delivery planning.
• Familiarity with smart infrastructure, digital twins, and whole-life cost optimisation.
