Assistant Product Manager I (Industrial HVAC)

Location: Houston, TX (TAS-AIRPORT); onsite full-time role with extensive travel to domestic and international job sites.

What you will do

• Support technical solution development, supplier bidding, preliminary design, and project cost estimates.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, fabrication, documentation, quality, materials management, and service resources throughout project execution.
• Act as a primary customer interface for technical, delivery, construction, commercial, and schedule matters.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, forecasts, payment issues, scope changes, change orders, vendor coordination, and risk-management processes.
• Coordinate equipment selections, production issues, purchasing, construction issues, commissioning, startup, customer training, warranty kickoff, and project closeout.
• Travel to job sites as needed to resolve conflicts and support project completion.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in project engineering, application engineering, or project management.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited four-year engineering program; military leadership or technical experience may substitute.
• Knowledge of business management, contract management, negotiations, project cost estimating, construction management, risk management, and vendor management.
• Experience or knowledge in industrial HVAC, refrigeration, energy service contracting, data centers, or power generation.
• Proficiency with MS Office, MS Project, ERP systems, and databases; familiarity with ANSI, ASME, API, and OSHA standards.
• Ability to work at field construction locations, climb ladders, and travel extensively to domestic and international job sites.

Nice to have

• Packaged equipment experience.
• P.E. license.
• Financial coursework or a finance-related degree.
• Experience with insurance and bonding.
