Senior Buyer - Indirect Procurement (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Place purchase orders for parts and components supporting manufacturing and other business functions.
• Partner with manufacturing to understand build schedules, manage supply chain activities, and reduce downtime.
• Track supplier deliveries, manage date changes, and maintain accurate delivery expectations with stakeholders.
• Resolve supplier quality and payment issues in collaboration with quality, finance, and cross-functional teams.
• Negotiate purchasing agreements and improve pricing, quality, payment terms, and supplier performance.
• Mentor and train Buyers while serving as a lead resource for the purchasing team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field, plus five or more years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in a technology manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, project management, multitasking, and follow-through skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including highly developed Excel skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• High standards of professionalism, ethics, quality, and self-motivation.
