Memory Buyer (Electronics)

Location: Europe; remote/hybrid across EMEA

What you will do

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for electronic components, with a focus on memory and peripheral components.
• Identify and qualify suppliers, negotiate contracts, pricing, lead times, and service levels.
• Evaluate supplier performance and ensure component quality, reliability, regulatory compliance, and ethical sourcing.
• Monitor semiconductor market trends, commodity pricing, global demand, geopolitical factors, and supply-chain risks.
• Develop risk-mitigation and alternative-sourcing strategies to prevent supply disruptions.
• Collaborate with sales, operations, logistics, and quality-control teams to align supply with demand and reduce costs.

Requirements

• Fluent English required.
• Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, analytical, logical, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Expertise in supplier negotiations, cost savings, relationship development, and procurement prioritization.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
• Ability to meet deadlines, adapt to new technologies, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• University degree in any field is preferred but not required.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of experience in procurement, memory commodity management, or electronics supply chain.
• Knowledge of semiconductor supply chains, component types, major suppliers, and market dynamics.
• Experience with procurement SOPs and any ERP system.
• Understanding of the challenges and opportunities in the global supply-chain market.
