Reliability Support Engineer (LabVIEW)

Location: Mountain View, California, USA; must already be in Mountain View or be willing to relocate at own cost.

Salary: USD 80,000–90,000 per year, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.

What you will do

• Support hardware and software engineering teams in building reliable, automated products.
• Set up and execute engineering test procedures, sensor instrumentation, and automated data collection pipelines.
• Develop and maintain LabVIEW automation routines and data acquisition test sequences using Python and C++.
• Integrate, program, and maintain robotic fixtures, actuators, and automated test stations for life-cycle and stress testing.
• Manage lab computer setups, instrument drivers, firmware flashing, network configurations, calibration, safety, and ESD controls.
• Prepare test reports, dashboards, visualizations, SOPs, work instructions, and automation manuals.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience developing or operating LabVIEW applications for instrument control, sensor interfacing, and automated data acquisition.
• Experience with robotics and automation systems such as robotic arms, linear actuators, PLCs, motor drivers, or automated fixtures.
• Experience executing reliability, environmental, mechanical, and stress tests, including thermal chamber, vibration, and tensile testing.
• Proficiency in analyzing large datasets with Python, MATLAB, spreadsheets, and presentation tools.
• Understanding of electrical and electronic instrumentation, mechanical CAD drawings, electrical schematics, and software architecture flowcharts.
• Bachelor of Science degree in a related engineering field such as mechanical, electrical, or computer engineering.
