Associate, Housing (Real Estate)

Location: hirify.global Place New York, 225 Liberty Street, 8th Floor, New York, New York

Salary: $130,000–$150,000 annual base salary, plus a short-term cash incentive program.

What you will do

• Support investment and portfolio management activities across North American student housing, manufactured housing, and other alternative housing assets.
• Perform financial, sensitivity, valuation, and market analyses to support capital, financing, development, redevelopment, hold-sell, and disposition decisions.
• Create, maintain, and improve detailed investment and valuation models.
• Monitor asset performance, operating statements, financial results, and progress against property and portfolio business objectives.
• Coordinate with real estate managers, operating teams, leasing, development, finance, tax, compliance, legal, and business operations stakeholders.
• Support joint venture governance, investor reporting, relationship management, portfolio reporting, and investment committee recommendations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, real estate, or a related field.
• At least 2–3 years of experience in real estate asset management and/or portfolio management.
• Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Argus.
• Strong analytical, financial modeling, valuation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with high-level stakeholders, learn quickly, and perform in a fast-paced environment.
• Leadership capabilities, business judgment, attention to detail, reliability, diligence, ethics, and integrity.

Nice to have

• Experience with student housing or manufactured housing.
• Experience working with third-party property management platforms in an institutional real estate context.
