Control Center Operator - Level 2 (Renewable Energy)

Location: Full-time onsite in San Diego, California, United States. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future.

Salary: $32.00–$36.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Manage routine and moderately complex control center events, investigations, planned work, alarms, requests, and directives from recognition through closure or escalation.
• Execute and validate generator, point-of-interconnection, inverter, tracker, outage, switching-support, and directive actions using approved controls and communication procedures.
• Use Fleetview, HMI/SCADA, OpLog, CMMS, site details, communications, and other approved resources to investigate conditions and progress work.
• Prioritize concurrent work while protecting safety, compliance, contractual obligations, external commitments, and operational continuity.
• Coordinate with technicians, utilities, clients, project teams, SCADA, IT, high-voltage, and compliance groups to resolve operational and plant-control issues.
• Support Level I Operators, maintain OpLog workflows, identify recurring process and tool gaps, and contribute to safer and more efficient operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of relevant control center, renewable energy, utility, or comparable operational experience, or equivalent capability.
• Successful performance of Level I responsibilities.
• Working knowledge of utility-scale renewable operations, medium- and high-voltage concepts, SCADA and control behavior, networking and telemetry, compliance concepts, and operational documentation.
• Ability to analyze conditions, prioritize independently, troubleshoot in real time, and communicate complex technical information clearly.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future employer sponsorship. Flexibility for 24/7 shift assignments is required.
