Renewable Operation Center Operator or Senior Operator

Location: Golden, Colorado, United States; work is performed from a 24/7 Monitoring and Operations Center.

Salary: $42.60–$59.67 per hour for the Operator level; $58.48–$68.23 per hour for the Senior Operator level.

What you will do

• Direct, monitor, control, and coordinate operations across a renewable generation fleet.
• Remotely monitor and reset renewable assets, balance-of-plant equipment, substations, site performance, weather, alarms, and SCADA connectivity.
• Analyze operational data, troubleshoot equipment issues, and use predictive diagnostics and performance monitoring systems.
• Coordinate operating parameters, curtailment procedures, emergency actions, dispatches, and call-outs with grid operators, site teams, engineering, and operations management.
• Prioritize work orders, coordinate outages and schedules, maintain logs and daily reports, and escalate issues as needed.
• Support projects, operating procedure development, required certifications, and training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, data analytics, economics, mathematics, engineering, or an equivalent analytical and technical field, or five years of applicable experience in lieu of a degree.
• Strong oral and written communication, problem-solving, critical-thinking, and analytical decision-making skills.
• Working knowledge of power systems operations and the energy industry structure and market.
• Ability to work in a 24/7 renewable operations and monitoring environment in Golden, Colorado.
• For the Senior Operator level, three years of power system dispatching or control room operations experience is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience operating, maintaining, or engineering renewable generation equipment.
• RC NERC Certification for the Senior Operator level.
