Solar Electrician (PV and Battery Storage)

What you will do

• Install, remove, maintain, inspect, repair, test, and troubleshoot solar panels, inverters, transformers, breakers, switchgear, and SCADA equipment.
• Read instruction manuals, blueprints, and control system drawings under the supervision of the Lead Electrician.
• Follow safety guidelines and identify hazards to protect workers and the public.
• Complete work orders, calibration sheets, timecards, material requests, and other work records.
• Supervise and train apprentice electricians and coworkers in safe tool use and maintenance procedures.
• Provide occasional after-hours and weekend callout support.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent related experience.
• Current Colorado Journeyman's Certification required.
• At least two years of industrial solar electrical or electronic maintenance experience.
• Valid driver's license in good standing issued by the state of residence.
• Knowledge of electricity and voltage/current relationships in AC and DC circuits.
• Ability to perform physical work including lifting, climbing, working on ladders, and using hands and arms at height for extended periods.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Solar PV systems.
