Senior Hardware Engineer (Automotive Electronics)

What you will do

• Design schematics for discrete electronics and embedded microprocessor-based controls in line with system requirements.
• Perform DFMEA, Worst Case Circuit Analysis, thermal analysis, and hardware requirements traceability.
• Oversee PCB layout with EMC considerations, select electrical hardware BOM components, and support supplier approval.
• Manage electronic hardware prototypes, pre-production, qualification, validation, and product design maintenance.
• Collaborate with software engineers, production, purchasing, customers, and cross-functional teams throughout development.
• Support DV/PV validation, external EMC laboratory testing, troubleshooting, 8D issue resolution, and production design release.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in electronic hardware design, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Experience with LIN and CAN communication circuits.
• Proficiency in WCCA using Mathcad or PSpice, DFMEA, and thermal analysis.
• Experience directing PCB layout with EMC considerations.
• Clear customer communication skills and experience supporting hardware validation and troubleshooting.

Nice to have

• Experience with door control modules or memory seat modules.
• Experience with DC motor controls using PWM.
