Embedded Firmware Development Engineer (Automotive)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain embedded C firmware for battery-powered TPMS sensors and receiver-side embedded modules or ECUs.
• Implement TPMS application logic, including state machines, measurement scheduling, sensor validation, filtering, diagnostics, and recovery.
• Design BLE advertising flows, including GAP/GATT behavior, payload construction, customer-specific encoding, transmission timing, and transmit-power management.
• Develop receiver firmware for wireless packet reception, decoding, sensor identification and association, integrity checks, signal-quality handling, diagnostics, and fault recovery.
• Integrate pressure, temperature, acceleration, and battery-voltage sensing with radio, timers, non-volatile memory, diagnostics, and firmware-update services.
• Bring up, debug, validate, and optimize sensor and receiver firmware on prototype hardware while collaborating with hardware, systems, and validation teams.

Requirements

• 6+ years of embedded firmware development experience with strong hands-on C programming for microcontrollers.
• Practical BLE experience with advertising, GAP, GATT, payload limits and formats, transmit power, RSSI, and low-power wireless trade-offs.
• Experience with TPMS or automotive sensor-and-receiver systems involving pressure, temperature, acceleration, battery monitoring, motion detection, wireless reception, and diagnostics.
• Experience developing receiver- or ECU-side firmware, including packet decoding, sensor pairing or identification, data validation, diagnostics, and host-software integration.
• Strong MCU fundamentals, including interrupts, timers, watchdogs, memory constraints, fault handling, layered architecture, HAL, and driver abstractions.
• Hands-on experience with UART, I2C, SPI, GPIO, ADC, flash, NVM, CAN/LIN, JTAG probes, vendor SDKs, build tools, Git, bootloaders, firmware updates, static analysis, and production debugging.
