Validation Lab Manager (Computer Hardware)

Salary: $124,125–$182,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage a team of technicians supporting the Validation Engineering group across multiple development projects.
• Plan and manage the physical hosting, capacity, and readiness of validation racks.
• Coordinate budgets, equipment purchases, deployment of materials, and future lab growth.
• Maintain lab equipment, tools, storage, calibration, inventory, and disposition of unused or defective materials.
• Improve validation procedures and processes with engineers while addressing customer-specific issues and risks.
• Report on lab status, capacity, and productivity while coordinating security, safety, ESD compliance, and training.

Requirements

• BS in a technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 6+ years of engineering validation and test experience.
• 0–2+ years of experience managing technical teams.
• Fundamental understanding of validation and testing for computer servers or storage appliances in a design and development environment.
• Understanding of hardware and software interactions, with the ability to resolve issues in a validation lab.
• Analytical problem-solving skills, strong interpersonal communication, and the ability to work with people at different organizational levels.
