Manager, Software Engineering - Medical Devices

Location: Irvine, California, United States

Annual salary: $131,900–$190,000, plus eligibility for an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Lead a team of software engineers developing embedded applications and communication systems for medical devices.
• Manage software product development projects from initial concept through design, implementation, verification, validation, and production.
• Coach, mentor, and develop engineering staff.
• Contribute to project plans, requirements specifications, and development process improvements.
• Facilitate communication between R&D and other departments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• At least five years of experience as a Senior or Principal Software Engineer.
• At least five years of management experience.
• Demonstrated success managing software development projects and delivering applications to production.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and interpersonal skills.
