Manager, Software Engineering - R&D Sustaining (Medical Devices)

Location: Chelmsford, Massachusetts, United States

Annual salary: $150,000–$180,000 USD, plus eligibility for an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Lead a team of software engineers developing embedded applications and communication systems for medical devices.
• Manage software product development projects from concept through design, implementation, verification, validation, and production.
• Prepare project plans and requirements specifications while contributing to high-level technical decisions.
• Coach, mentor, and develop engineering staff.
• Coordinate communication between R&D and other departments.
• Improve software development processes and support day-to-day project execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• At least five years of experience as a Senior or Principal Software Engineer.
• At least five years of management experience.
• Demonstrated success managing software development projects and delivering applications to production.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, judgment, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
