Platform Engineering Manager (Cloud, Data & SAP)

Location: Marcq-en-Barœul, France; full-time, permanent contract.

What you will do

• Lead and develop a hybrid team of internal engineers and external partners, including SAP, Cloud, DevOps, and Data specialists.
• Own the vision, roadmap, backlog, and agile delivery of the internal self-service platform.
• Gather requirements from software engineering, data science, SAP, and analytics squads through interviews, workshops, and surveys.
• Build developer-focused platform services across AWS, Azure, Snowflake, and SAP BTP, including account provisioning, data pipelines, integration wrappers, landing zones, and CI/CD templates.
• Improve developer experience through internal portals, service catalogs, CLI tools, documentation, and service adoption measurement.
• Report on platform health, DORA metrics, uptime, adoption, FinOps, budget forecasting, and GDPR and security compliance.

Requirements

• 10+ years of IT experience combining engineering or people management with product ownership for internal platforms, developer tools, or infrastructure and data services.
• Strong understanding of AWS and/or Azure cloud concepts and services.
• Familiarity with data warehouses, databases, schemas, roles, data loading, and modern data engineering pipelines.
• Experience gathering, analyzing, and prioritizing technical requirements using Scrum, Kanban, or other agile methods.
• Strong presentation and interpersonal communication skills for working with technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Fluent written and spoken English and French are mandatory.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of SAP BTP, including Integration Suite and Extension Suite.
• Experience with Internal Developer Portals such as Backstage or AWS Service Catalog.
• Understanding of FinOps and cloud cost optimization.
• Background as a Software Engineer, Data Engineer, or DevOps/SRE.
