Software Team Leader (C/C++)

Salary: €70,000–€80,000 gross per year

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of software engineers, including appraisals, career planning, recruitment, and onboarding.
• Define technical and architectural direction while maintaining code quality through reviews, testing, and engineering best practices.
• Plan development activities and estimates, prioritize work, manage risks, and ensure delivery deadlines.
• Collaborate with Product teams and stakeholders as the main point of contact for progress, challenges, and delivery priorities.
• Contribute hands-on to complex development topics, debugging, performance optimization, and architectural decisions.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies and promote knowledge sharing, standardization, and continuous delivery improvement.

Requirements

• Engineering degree or equivalent qualification and at least 10 years of software development experience.
• Experience managing or mentoring technical teams.
• Strong software development background in C/C++, Python, or similar technologies.
• Solid knowledge of software architecture, engineering best practices, testing, and code quality.
• Experience with Agile environments, including Scrum or Kanban, with strong leadership and communication skills.
• Written and spoken technical English is essential.

Nice to have

• Experience in high-growth environments.
• Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, cloud technologies, or distributed systems.
• Expertise in performance optimization, security, or large-scale systems.
• Knowledge of video technologies such as H.264, H.265, VP9, AV1, HLS, DASH, RTP/RTSP, FFmpeg, and GStreamer.
• Experience with structured coaching or leadership development programs.
